Working With Me
Is this for musicians or the people who manage them?
Both. The Drummer's Girlfriend is built for cover bands and tribute acts who are great on stage and invisible online, and for the partners, bandmates, and family members who stepped up to help and had no idea where to start. If either of those sounds like you, you're in the right place.
What kind of bands do you work with?
Cover bands, tribute acts, and local musicians who play for the love of it. The weekend warriors playing pubs, legions, festivals, and charity events. If your band plays other people's songs and you want more people showing up and more venues calling, this is built for you.
Are you a musician yourself?
Nope. I'm a broadcaster and media professional with 20+ years in Canadian radio. I've also spent those same 20 years doing the promotion for the musicians in my life, because someone had to. That combination is why this works. I know how promotion actually works, and I know what it's like to figure it out from scratch with no roadmap.
Which strategy session should I choose?
Have one clear issue? Book the 90-minute session. Does everything feel scattered? Book the 2-hour session. Want a full outside review before we meet? Book the 2-hour PLUS. You can compare them on the Work With Me page.
What happens after I book?
Right after you purchase, you'll get an email with everything you need for the next steps. Before your session, you'll fill out a short intake form so we can get right to work.
Can I reschedule or get a refund?
All purchases are final and non-refundable. If something comes up before your session, send me a message and we'll talk it through.
What's included in The Backline?
A full year of one-on-one coaching for your band, with calls every two months and voice message access between calls. You can see everything that's included on The Backline page.
Do you offer a free discovery call?
No. I can answer most questions just as well by email, and it saves us both time. Send me a message and we'll figure out the right fit.
Do you work with bands outside Niagara?
Yes. I'm based in Niagara, but I work with bands across Canada and beyond, virtually. If you've got a reliable internet connection, we can work together.
Band Promotion Basics
Do I need a big budget to promote my band?
No. Most of what I teach costs nothing but time. Everything is built for weekend warriors with real lives and real jobs. If you've got a phone and a Wi-Fi connection, you've got what you need to get started.
I'm not tech savvy at all. Is this still for me?
That's exactly who this is for. I don't assume you know anything coming in, and I'm not going to throw jargon at you and hope for the best. Everything is broken into clear, simple steps you can follow without a tech background or a marketing degree.
Do you only help with social media?
Social media is part of it, but it's not the whole picture. I cover everything from building a basic online presence and getting press, to pitching venues and media, growing a fanbase, and keeping your band organized enough to actually follow through.
